About Us

Opened in August 2020, Buckstone luxury camping pods sit within the Buckstone holding.

Run by Susan Houlker, Buckstone consists of a riding school, livery, cattery and now home to a number of luxury camping pods. Each pod is named after a bird local to the area. We are lucky enough to often see Lapwing, Swallow and Curlew flying over the site.

Set in the secluded and peaceful outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales, Buckstone acts as the perfect base to explore the picturesque local area or to simply unwind.

During your visit, you will no doubt encounter horses, sheep, Sue’s 2 dogs Bonnie and Ralph, Ginge and Dot the cats and 5 (very friendly) rescue chickens who wander the grounds.

The Buckstone team consists of Susan Houlker, her son Paul and his wife Katie.
